If you believe that you have visual impairment, this table may give you an idea.
All you have to do is to determine how far you want to go from the monitor according to your monitor size and screen resolution. Then try to read the numbers by closing one eye in order from the top to the lowest order.
If you have difficulty reading, you should consult an ophthalmologist immediately.
Distance to look at screen resolution
Screen size resolution : 640×480 800×600
14 inch 5.5 m 4.0 m
15 inch 6.0 m 4.5 m
17 inch 7.0 m 5.5 m
(This measurement is definitely not a replacement for a doctor.)
If you cannot read the numbers in the figures below, you may be in a color blind state.
The human eye can detect and differentiate colors with the iris layer in the eye. It is possible to see some colors or all colors in gray when there is a problem in the color perception in the iris layer.
In this case, if you cannot distinguish the colors that represent different numbers in the above tests from other colors around you, you are more likely to be color blind.
Amsler Grid Test:
The Amsler Grid Test is a diagram that will allow you to detect early signs of age-related macular degeneration (yellow dot disease) by practicing yourself at home, although not a routine eye examination. We recommend that everyone above 40 years of age apply this test.
Method of Application
-Place the diagram shown below in a well-lit room, at the appropriate reading distance and on the wall with the center point at full eye level.
-If you have glasses or contact lenses that you normally use for reading, wear them.
-Close one eye with your hand and focus on the center with the open eye. Notice whether you see the four corners of the large square in the diagram. Repeat the application separately for each eye.
-If you cannot see every corner or if you see fluctuations, fractures, blur in the lines, you may have symptoms of age-related macular degeneration. As soon as possible, consult an ophthalmologist at the retina.
